I have to admit that I like being alone from time to time. Yes, I like my own company. It’s important for me to have some time to myself. I can reflect on my life, make goals and plans for the future, or just take some time to unwind after being a little too busy.

Do I ever feel alone? I can’t say that I do, but I understand that lots of people do experience loneliness and want to make a change.

Loneliness is a negative emotion that results from social isolation or a lack of communication with others. While almost everyone experiences loneliness at some point in their lives, persistent or extreme loneliness can be detrimental to our mental and physical health.

Unfortunately, it can be challenging to get yourself out of a lonely “slump” without some kind of help. This assistance can come from virtually anybody, whether a friend, family member, or professional. Whatever you do, don’t panic because things may only get worse.
