Motivation Myths That Might Be Holding You Back
Motivation is often seen as the magical force that propels us toward our goals and dreams.
If you are like me, there are days when I don’t feel like tackling my to-do list. I would rather read a book, browse through stories on Medium, or watch Netflix! How to get out of the slump? Maybe Nike has it right: Just Do It!
Although potent, motivation is not always required. While motivation might make taking action easier, we all take action even in the absence of motivation. It’s also simple to put things off when you lack motivation. You could even find yourself procrastinating.
What exactly constitutes motivation? Is it about feeling enthusiastic to take action?
Is it the case that acting now is preferable to doing nothing at all? Even if you may not be excited to write a report for work, the fear of not finishing it ultimately overcomes the satisfaction of doing so.
