I have seen so many relationships where either or both partners can’t communicate well with each other. I’m reminded of a time with my ex-husband when we were on a driving trip. I asked him if he was hungry, and he said no. In my mind, I thought I was telling him I was hungry and we should stop for a bite. But that is not what he heard.

It is important to ask for what you want and not hint at what that is!

Relationships are usually easy at first. Anticipation, newness, joy, and passion are all the gasoline needed to propel a new relationship ahead. However, these things tend to fade with time.

Communication becomes an essential component of all relationships. It maintains and strengthens connections and helps prevent many of the misconceptions and unnecessary drama that beset so many relationships.

If you don’t communicate well with your partner, your relationship will suffer considerably. The ideal time to start improving communication is before you need it.
