More joy can be yours if you take a short break from the information superhighway.
Do you like me and spend some mornings over coffee checking out the latest news? Does it make a difference in your life to know which celebrity is getting divorced, which politician did or said something crazy, or what terrible natural disaster happened halfway around the world?
The answer is that it doesn’t make a difference in my life. However, I seem addicted to reading the news and checking social media.
Addiction to information is becoming more widespread. Some of us struggle mightily to resist the need to obsessively check our email, change our status on Facebook, and engage in other similar activities.
People are using the internet for longer periods of time, which may not be good. These activities might make it easy to find that a significant portion of your day is spent on frivolous activities.
